CUSTOM EXCURSIONS

Feeling adventurous? The sky is the limit at Denver Adventures!

We can put together personalized excursions for anybody from individuals to large groups, from single day to multi-day trips. In Colorado you can take your adventure experience to a whole new level. Just tell us what you are looking for and we will organize a unique trip. Here are some examples of custom excursions:

Rocky Mountain National Park

Less than 2 hours driving from Denver lies Estes Park at the entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park. After a beautiful drive along towering mountains and canyons, streams and meadows filled with elk, you arrive at the trailhead. From here you hike or snowshoe through lush forests, mountain lakes, waterfalls, and even a glacier. After a picnic with breathtaking views, you descend back to the trailhead. From there we take you to the town of Estes Park where you can browse the local stores, eat an elk or buffalo burger and taste the local beer at one of the original town buildings. We drop you back off in Denver that evening or we can arrange lodging in one of Estes Park's cozy chalets next to a roaring river. You can hit the trail again the next day and/or visit Boulder, CO on your way back to Denver.

Mount Evans

This 14,268ft mountain is the closest "14-er" to downtown Denver. We pick you up in the early morning, drive through Evergreen for a quick breakfast on-the-go while admiring stunning views from your comfortable seat. This takes you to the trailhead at about 12,700ft and from there we guide you to the summit of Mt. Evans after a challenging hike. Don't feel like hiking today? You can also bike or we can drive you to the summit on the highest road in the country!! No matter how you get to the top, the views are simply breathtaking. On the way down we stop at a local bar to replenish ourselves before returning to Denver.

Crossing the Continental Divide

The Continental Divide represents the "backbone" of the country. Crossing this mountain range is a thrilling experience. From Leadville, CO (approx. 1.5 hours from Denver) you hike or bike the dirt road up to the Divide. Stunning views will make this challenging activity well worth it. At over 10,000ft the highest part of this trail has snow year around. On your way back you visit the old mining town of Leadville, CO for some refreshments before heading back to Denver.

Active Sightseeing Tours

Not in the mood for any physical activities? We offer a variety of great active sightseeing options. The are simply to many places to visit around Denver but some of the more popular destinations include riding the longest and highest cog train in the world to the top of Pikes Peak (over 14,000ft!) followed by a visit to Manitu Springs and the Garden of the Gods close to Colorado Springs. Alernatively, we can visit a silver mine, tour the Coors brewery and Golden, CO, and much more.

Vail Pass

Only 1 hour driving from Denver is the town of Frisco, CO. From the beautiful mountain lake you leave on a paved bike path following a stream meandering through green valleys all the way up to Vail Pass at over 11,000ft. From there you drop down into the town of Vail where you eat lunch and walk around. We can pick you up in Vail or you can ride the challenging climb back up and over Vail Pass to Frisco. This trip makes for an unforgettable experience!
