Rocky Mountain National Park

ElksLess than 2 hours driving from Denver lies Estes Park, CO at the entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park. Once in the park we start our beautiful drive on famous Trail Ridge Road (over 11,000 ft) along towering mountains and canyons, streams and meadows filled with elk. The drive ends at a beautiful trailhead high up in the mountains. From there you hike or snowshoe through pine forests,Mountain Hiking along mountain lakes, waterfalls, and spectacular rock formations. After a picnic with breathtaking views we return to civilization to visit the town of Estes Park where you can browse the local stores, eat an elk or buffalo burger and taste the local beer in one of the original town buildings. On the way down to Denver we briefly stop in Boulder, CO where you can walk around Pearl Street and soak up the unique atmosphere of this vibrant college town nestled in the foothills of the Flat Iron mountains. We drop you back off in Denver that evening or we can arrange lodging in one of Estes Park's cozy chalets next to a roaring river. You can hit the trail again the next day and/or visit Boulder, CO on your way back to Denver.
