Corona virus scare? Can you say road trip?
Ok, so here we are. The Corona Virus is here to stay for a while, change our lives, and ruin our travel plans. Or is it? Before you lock up your grandparents in the basement, board up your house, and buy as much toilet paper as humanly possible, maybe we should consider some alternative solutions. Our country offers a huge variety of outdoor “playgrounds” from beaches to mountains and I bet you live closer to them than you think. Think outside the box (read: house) and hit the outdoors! It’s healthy and safe. Take Colorado for instance. For most of you it is only a scenic road trip away because of its central location. No need to get on a plane with coughing strangers. Instead, travel in the comfort of your own car with your family members! Once you arrive, go to lesser traveled smaller towns such as beautiful and historic Golden or Evergreen, both in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Then, let the fun begin! A huge selection of outdoor activities awaits you from skiing, hiking, mountain biking and rock climbing to my personal favorite … ziplining! You can be outdoors for days in stunning scenery far away from densely populated areas. So, what are you waiting for? Head for the hills (literally) and experience a safe and healthy vacation without breaking the bank, as many companies are offering deep discounts! Here are a few recommendations:
